Baldi Pain Champagne Extra Brut
Wine Notes: The wine, a blend of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay, is sourced from the Grand Cru villages of Sillery and Verzy, in the eastern reaches of the Montagne de Reims appellation. Based on the 2014 harvest, Champagne Baldi Pain uses up to 30% reserve wine in the cuvee, with a small portion aged in barrel for several months. Finished with only 3 grams/liter, it’s delectably dry but not at the expense of a generous mouthfeel. The effervescence really opens up on the palate to reveal the complex flavors of Pinot Noir from a great vineyard site, supported by the brightness of noble Chardonnay.
