This is the sort of wonderfully odd little discovery we love: a tiny-production Alexander Valley Cabernet from steep, gravelly hillside vines in the heart of Sonoma Cab country. The 2015 has aged into a handsome, old-school style, showing dark berry fruit, cedar, pencil lead and dusty tannins, with enough bottle age to soften the edges without losing its Cabernet backbone.
