Most of you don't know about Bodegas LAN's "employee cuvee."

Otherwise known as their "Rioja D-12," this deliciousness is an assemblage of barrels that LAN's entire team (everyone - from vineyard management, to winemaking, to operations, to sales) selects, places in tank number "D-12" for bottling, and then devours at home through the subsequent years.
...It goes without saying that the base wine used here is a bit, ummm, "preferred."
Stylistically D-12 is on the modern spectrum but still very detailed and balanced, with twelve months in new American (Appalachian) and French (very fine-grained Chateauroux and Loches) barrels, followed by a nice three years in bottle prior to loading on our container.
