The dynamic combination of ‘the two moms’ Francoise Peschon and Lisa Drinkward has produced, for going on twenty vintages now, a Cabernet that is consistently one of the Napa Valley’s most polished and elegant.  Pechon, who makes the wine, has a resume that includes a long association with Bart Araujo and Michel Rolland at Araujo Estate and, currently, Accendo Cellars, as well as winemaking duties at Vine Hill Ranch among other places.  Francoise’s partner Lisa is the co-owner and vineyard manager of Behrens Family wines. She met Francoise and hatched their plan to make a wine together at their children’s daycare! The kids have all grown up, alas, and so has the reputation of their two mom’s fabulous collaboration. We’ve been fortunate to know both of the remarkable people for many years and have been lucky enough to work with Drinkward-Peschon since their very first vintage in 2000. With only around 750 cases for a thirsty world, we don’t often get to send out an offer.  But, as one of our longtime customers and a confirmed lover of great Napa Cab, I thought I’d make sure you were offered some.  Dark and voluminous on the nose and palate, there’s plenty of sage, bay laurel and chaparral along with blackberry, cassis, pencil lead, cigar leaf and hints of sweet baking spice. This is a rock star that will please any Cab lover- New or Old World. Polished and sophisticated juice we love!
