This Pinot Noir includes wine from Swan’s Trenton Estate Vineyard and parcels in Trenton View, Saralee’s, Catie’s Corner, Ritchie, Solas, and Great Oak, all Russian River Pinot Noir vineyard aristocracy!  We love the wine’s bold, briary flavors and very impressive depth.  At a modest 12.8% alcohol, it’s a brilliant snapshot into a Russian River Pinot Noir from an earlier era; back when the cinnamon-infused cherry perfume came solely from the fruit and the texture enticed for its elegance while at the same time offering plenty of weight, presence and a Gevrey-Chambertin-like minerality.  In short, it’s a gorgeous bottle of Pinot- a fabulous partner tonight with those herby lamb chops or that peppery steak you have planned or a candidate for at least another four or five or ten years in your cellar.  Very highly recommended!
