2018 Dehlinger Pinot Noir, Goldridge Vineyard, Russian River Valley Estate   $54.99  We look forward every year to the arrival of this, one of America’s true benchmark Pinot Noirs.  The Dehlinger family’s Goldridge Pinot Noir is one of those mainstay Russian River Pinots you simply cannot live without.   It’s unabashedly Californian in that way that Pinot Noir lovers find irresistible.   In 2018, it’s savory, balanced and inviting.  Beautiful dark color, a nose rich with brilliant black cherries, loamy earth, sandalwood/cinnamon-like spice and a palate that fills the mouth beautifully, it brings the California sunshine right to your nose and palate.  Drinks so very well right now, but will add nuance and dimension as it cellars.  I never begrudged the Dehlingers this $55…….
