PRIMA Notes:  The Les Vaumuriens is a north-east facing vineyard located to the west of the village of Pommard, planted in the limestone-marl soil that gives French Burgundies their complex extraction and intriguing finesse.  Being slightly higher in elevation, Les Vaumureins produces wines with a forward bouquet and amazing, balanced acidity.  We found the 2018 Dufouleur Pommard to be a gorgeous wine that not only drinks well now (with decanting) but will repay huge dividends with some additional bottle age; that is, if you can keep your hands off it.  Fortunately, as stated earlier, you can enjoy this lovely red Burgundy again and again without breaking the bank.
