Importer's Notes: "Lions de Batailley" is the second wine of Château Batailley and draws its name from the two Lions who guard the gates of Château Batailley's main entrance. Château Batailley, a 5th Grand Cru Classé of the classification of 1855, is the Castéja family's and Borie-Manoux’s flagship. It is one of the oldest estates in the Médoc.

Lions de Batailley is produced from a majority of Cabernet Sauvignon, a grape varietal which grows well on Batailley's gravel soil. Balanced, silky tannins with acidity and length. It is a wine that drinks easily young, but will also age well.
