2018 School House Pinot Noir, Spring Mountain Estate

Class in the glass, this piece of Napa Valley history brings an unmatched pedigree to a Pinot Noir with roots that travel all the way back to Romanee-Conti in Burgundy with a brief stay in the ground in Rutherford at Inglenook through the late 1940s and 1950s before making their way up to the top of Spring Mountain.  Old vines, the inspired winemaking of Sally Johnson at Pride Mountain, and all those years of history bring to this wine an incredible sense of place.  An all-time favorite that once-again struck gold in the 2018 vintage.  Very special!
