PRIMA Notes:  Our quest for true value in Burgundy usually takes us to the more southern extremes of the appellation- the Macon, Chalon or Beaujolais regions for instance, but these two beauties hail, instead, from Burgundy’s northernmost border- of all places Chablis!  That one’s a white should be no surprise, but a red?  Hmmm. Dominique Gruhier runs a small domaine in Epineuil about 10 kilometers northeast from Chablis proper, having taken over from his father, who had originally purchased the ancient monastery on which the current winery sits.
