PRIMA Notes:  The 2019 Langhe Nebb, we’ve loved it ever since it first went into the bottle and it has only gotten better with the extra time in the bottle.  While Chiara sometimes glibly calls her Nebbiolo a ‘Baby Barolo,’ I think that isn’t entirely accurate.  I think of it more as a sort of a hybrid version of an easier-drinking version of Nebbiolo, but with all of Barolo’s ruddy red color, expressive aromas and succulent cherry confit mouthfeel.  Compared to her Barolos, it’s like she turned the volume to 11 but lowered both the bass and treble.  It’s made in a more accessible, easier-to-enjoy-now style without the variety’s usually searing tannins.  Lovely to drink even now (decanted), you don’t have to think too carefully about pairing it with food as you might with a Barolo.
