Handpicked and 25% fermented in neutral acacia, it’s a gorgeous, sleek version of Napa Valley Sauv Blanc, halfway between France’s Bordeaux and the Loire Valley in its inspiration.  We fell for the Bartlett pear, lychee, and lemon peel on its expressive nose while its palate, rich with some extended lees contact, shows bright pineapple, a nice dash of citrus, a hint of lemongrass and a dollop of pastry cream on the finish for some added complexity.  We were blown away by just how enjoyable a drink we found this!
