Christophe’s just-arrived 2020 Moulin-a-Vent simply exudes authenticity: a beautifully nuanced old vine Gamay with warm, thoroughly inviting, deeply pitched floral, plum and mineral flavors. Bright, snappy and raring to go, there’s enough acidity here to stand up to all kinds of great foods and it tastes great all on its own too.  Savory, pure, penetrating fruit, a great texture and the kind of long, long finish that will remind you of Volnay, this is an inspired choice, for all kinds of summer fare and, should you keep enough around, we think, for your Big Bird this fall as well. At $22.50 a bottle, we also recommend adding enough to the cellar so you can serve it again next year or the year after too.  Very highly recommended!
