Sonoe has been working with the grapes from the Linda Vista Vineyard since 2018 vintage.  Located on the eastern, cooler side of the Oak Knoll District, this vineyard has been organically farmed (CCOF Certified Organic) by Steve Matthiasson since 2011. She harvested the grapes on August 27th for this vintage at a Brix of 21.5. The grapes were gently pressed with whole clusters and primary fermentation took place spontaneously in barrels. It completed malolactic fermentation and was aged on its lees for 10 months in French and Hungarian oak barrels.

Tasting Notes:
With its nose of lightly-toasted hazel nuts, a burst of passionfruit and grapefruit, its character lasts long onto the palate. The finished wine retains a lovely succulent natural acidity and exuberant citrus aromas and flavors, all of which are characteristics of the Olmo Clone of Chardonnay and this wonderful cool climate vineyard. It also shows a great potential to age.
