We’ve just received our small allocation of this Chateauneuf blue blood!  The white is a rarity made from Clairette, Grenache Blanc and Roussanne.  While a lot of Chateauneuf Blancs can be quite low in acid and lacking in great structure, this does not!  In fact, we love its freshness, verve and minerality.  But it is, after all, a classic Chateauneuf Blanc so it’s plenty rich with a palate full of fruit and a lovely, lovely texture.  We think it’ll be a long  ager too.  16 bottles remaining and $60 is a great price for this.
Wine Spectator on the Blanc: Bold, rich and fresh, this shows up-front juicy red apple, apricot and melted honey wrapped around a spine of bitter orange pith and firming mineral. Very distinctive and well-formed, with great definition through the energetic finish. Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne and Bourboulenc. Drink now through 2028. 583 cases made, 100 cases imported. 93 points
Robert Parker: The tank-fermented and matured 2021 Châteauneuf du Pape Blanc Cuvée Réservée is roughly 60% Clairette, 20% Grenache Blanc and 10% each Bourboulenc and Roussanne. It's a plump, round white marked by mixed citrus fruit and hints of white peach and melon, yet it finishes bright and refreshing. 92 points
