100% Erbaluce

The vineyards of Le Piane are located in Boca, the highest elevation area in Piedmont. After being abandoned for a lengthy period due to the heavy industrialization in nearby urban areas, the vineyards were eventually revived. Friends Christoph and Alexander discovered and fell in love with the Le Piane property, which included neglected vines, barrels still filled with wine, and a dilapidated building. The final challenge was convincing Antonio Cerri, one of the last remaining winemakers in the Boca appellation, to entrust them with preserving its ancient winemaking traditions. In his old age, Antonio agreed, passing on his small vineyard, cellar, and some old vintages to the duo. Although Alexander tragically passed away in 1998, Christoph and his team continue to uphold their shared vision today.

This Bianco is crafted from the Erbaluce grape, native to Piedmont ,Due to appellation regulations, the wine is labeled simply as "Bianco" rather than showcasing its varietal. It’s a light-bodied, acid-driven wine with a brief aging process in a combination of amphora, cement, and acacia barrels.
