2022 Deltetto Langhe Rosato 'Suasi' 

Susasi means, in the Piemontese dialect, ‘chosen’ and every year the Deltettos choose a tiny bit of Nebbiolo from their vineyards in Roero to harvest a bit earlier in the season in order to fashion this simply charming dry Rose.  Vinified cool, completely in stainless steel, it’s dry and pleasantly fruity with lovely red fruit, a hint of fresh peach and a bit floral spice on a fresh, food-friendly palate.  Easy to drink on its own, Carlo Deltetto says he likes it best with some fresh anchovy served with his mother’s homemade bread and good butter.  I like it anyway I can get it!
