Austin Hope’s wines have quickly earned a cult-like following around the country for their lavish textures and flamboyant flavors that over deliver on every level, and they’ve become the benchmark against which all other Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignons are measured. Sourced from five different sub AVAs from within the Paso appellation, all are combined to bring out far more than sum of their parts. Aged in two passes over 15 months in a wide variety and ages of oak barrels, the aim is to create a full-throttle, ultimately crowd-pleasing Cab that also shows off the sheer diversity and complexity of the region. The 2023 vintage is dark, intense wine with turns up the volume with its black cherry, mocha and burnt caramel aromatics that give way to a velvet-y palate rich with chocolate, Kirsch and woodsy spice notes. With a finish that goes on and on, it’s a plush, luxurious bottle of California red that will please the toughest crowd!
