This is never an easy wine to make and, stylistically, Langhe Nebb can range from light, juicy and grapy all the way to Barolo in a minor key. The Bagnascos’ falls neatly right in the middle. Coming from their vineyards on the back side of La Morra near the cellar and from a cooler site near Alba, they ferment the wine in steel and age it for only six months in older casks to preserve its freshness, and it’s that attribute that comes through in spades! While there is plenty of oomph, it’s really a wine all about lift and finesse.
