The 2023 Ernesto Picollo Gavi is a gorgeous example of ‘terroir’; i.e. a wine that expresses its inherent characteristics and those of its immediate environment, soil, climate, weather, and local flora. Their Gavi is lively and crisp, with a rounded palette of fresh fruit and a mineral core that keeps everything in balance. No oak here, just lovely, bright fruit and a lip-smacking finish.
