We’re totally digging Booker’s extended family, including ‘My Favorite Neighbor’ and especially now a super-secret sort of third label named after founder and winemaker Eric Jensen's parents, Harvey and Harriet. I am already very well-disposed to love any wine named after my favorite dog, the late Widow Harriet, but tasting this cuvée was a compelling experience all on its own!

This is dark, heady stuff, with a powerful nose of freshly turned loam, dark chocolate, rich, dark-toned berries and brambly blackberry vine. You know those chocolate-covered blueberries they used to sell at Peet’s Coffee? Those! Despite a lavish texture that reveals a ton of fruit, it finishes more like a far-svelter Margaux with its crushed rocks but with this incredible length, too. It was pretty damned impressive!

And while the Booker wines, mostly based on Rhône varieties, certainly attract a ton of attention in their own right, this Cabernet-based Bordeaux-styled wine is something of an epiphany, especially for the price!

Wine Enthusiast, 94 Points: This Cab-based blend is dry, savory and yet still pleasurable to those seeking fruit. Aromas of espresso bean, dried berry and baking spice lead from the nose into a palate where chalky tannins frame dark blackberry and coffee flavors into a very cohesive display.
