The Juvenile Zinfandel is composed of a variety of younger vines (6-25 years old) planted among old vine Zinfandel in a few of their best vineyards across California including: Hayne, Pesenti, Salvador, Vineyard 101, Fredricks, Kirschenmann, and 18 more! The grapes, after being harvested and collected undergo native yeast fermentation. The wine is aged in 80% used oak, of which 80% is French (the only new barrels are French). Aromatically the wine has a nose full of juicy dark cherries, blackberries, just ripened raspberries, and some savory thanksgiving spices. On the palate there are notes of salty dried meats as well as brambly fruits paired with silken tannins.
