Chicago’s FEW Spirits helped lead the modern Midwestern craft distilling movement, and their Straight American Whiskey remains one of the category’s more interesting mashbill experiments.

Rather than bourbon or rye alone, FEW ferments corn, rye, and malted barley together, creating something that sits comfortably between the two traditions. Rich caramel and vanilla meet lively rye spice, orange peel, and cocoa.

Think of it as bourbon roundness with rye energy. A terrific Old Fashioned and Manhattan whiskey—but equally rewarding neat if you want to explore a slightly different side of American whiskey.
