Hand-harvested (rare in this area) and aged in a mixture of new and used wood, this Bertin cuvee consists of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, striking the perfect balance between its deeply pitched, dark, smoke-infused black raspberry fruit and the kind of bottle characteristics that can only develop with a few years of bottle age. There is nice volume on the palate but still fine supporting acidity and the tannins are now perfectly integrated into the wine creating a seamless whole that drinks elegantly now but could still handle another few years in the cellar if you’d like.  Super food flexible and fun to drink, this medium-bodied red will quickly show you exactly why we love mature Bordeaux!
