This vermouth carries a particularly personal story for us at PRIMA. Elena Penna-Currado—longtime co-owner and guiding force behind Vietti—helped elevate that historic Barolo estate into one of Piemonte's modern reference points before eventually stepping away from day-to-day winery life. Vermouth, with its deep roots in Torino café culture and aromatized wine tradition, was a natural next chapter. Named simply Elena, the project reflects both her Piemontese heritage and her lifelong connection to the region’s wines.

Produced in the traditional Vermouth di Torino style, it begins with a quality wine base infused with wormwood and a carefully balanced blend of botanicals. The result feels unmistakably Piemontese: orange peel, alpine herbs, warm baking spices, and a gentle cocoa note layered over a wine-driven core.

Rich yet poised, it’s ideal in classic cocktails like the Manhattan or Negroni. But the most traditional way to enjoy it—and perhaps the most fitting—is simply over ice with an orange twist, the way vermouth has been enjoyed in Torino cafés for generations.
