Castello di Verduno Grappa di Perlaverga 

Castello di Verduno is known for their wonderful Pelaverga di Verduno, a lightish, very fragrant, very food-flexible red wine.  When they press the grapes out after fermentation each fall, the flattened grape skins are carefully collected and placed into bins and ride on the back of a tractor down the hill to the distillery they use in Barbaresco, just a few kilometers away.  There the grape skins are distilled into a beautifully clear, wonderfully fragrant Grappa that dances across the palate while delivering the ultimate in post-prandial pleasure!  Proven under laboratory conditions to go great with binging on Ted Lasso on cold rainy nights….   Bad weather given you a cold?  The flu?  The dreaded C-word?
