As a person, Carole Doyard is truly engaging so it’s not surprising that  her wines reflect her effervescent personality and ‘joie de vivre’.  On the other hand, she is a serious and accomplished winemaker who makes pure, Chardonnay-based Champagne from the highly regarded village of Vertus in the Cote des Blancs.  Her Empreinte Cuvée will appeal to lovers of the Blanc de Blancs style, of which I am one. Solid Chardonnay-based bubbles that drink very well. – JR  ***
