2022 Deltetto Roero Arneis ‘Daivej’ Biologico, Piemonte

List Price: $21.99

The Deltetto Daivej Arneis is the family’s everyday white wine, fermented and aged entirely in stainless steel as opposed to partially in wood like their richer, nobler S. Michele cuvee. This is pretty Arneis at its most wonderfully elemental. The barest pale yellow in color, here are all of the grape’s green almond, red apple, floral and fennel frond notes on vivid display.

2022 Suavia Soave Classico, Veneto

List Price: $21.00

Soave has come a long way from the half gallon bottles that used to dominate the shelves of your local wine shop. Fortunately, quality-minded producers like Suavia have restored its former reputation as one of the Veneto’s most enjoyable white wines, especially those made in the Classico zone, using more of the noble grape variety, Garganega, as opposed to Trebbiano.

2021 Tenuta Luisa Ribolla Gialla, Isonzo de Friuli

List Price: $19.99

If you haven’t ever tried Ribolla Gialla, then you owe it to yourself to experience this exotic, racy white wine from way up in the northeast corner of Italy. The locals drink Ribolla Gialla with the rich harvest of the nearby sea, especially steamed mussels or grilled calamari. The richer, oaked version pair beautifully with veal or pork.

2022 Cantina Valle Isarco Pinot Grigio, Alto Adige

List Price: $22.99

The wines from this highly respected co-operative, located in the pristine mountain valleys of the Alto Adige, have been mainstays here at PRIMA Vini for years and years. Their Pinot Grigio, often served by the glass at PRIMA Ristorante, is beautifully expressive of the crisp, alpine air and rocky soils. Classic PG!

2022 Clelia Romano ‘Colli di Lapio’ Fiano di Avellino, Campania

List Price: $29.99

Over the years, we have introduced hundreds of customers to this amazing wine from perhaps the best estate in the appellation. Located in Avellino (Tony Soprano’s old stomping grounds) in the hills overlooking the nearby sea, Clelia Romano makes a richly textured white wine from the native Fiano grape variety. The wine still maintains a delicate balance of fresh fruit, floral and mineral nuances and vibrant acidity. Yum!

2021 Donnafugata ‘Lighea’ Zibibbo, Sicily

List Price: $22.50

Zibibbo is what the Sicilians call Muscat of Alexandria but before you think this is sugary sweet wine, let me tell you that the Lighea is delectably dry, imbued with the exotic perfume and enticing spice of the Muscat grape type. Donnafugata is one of the leading producers on the island of Sicily, crafting unique and delicious wines from indigenous grapes. Definitely a fun experience!
